Donations

 

Below is a list of people who has donated items and loaned photographs for exhibition purposes to Tenedos Local History Research Center.

 

1. Mehmet TALAY – In April 2001 donated several bottles of old wines of Talay vineyards, labels and various photographs.   

 

2. Mehmet UYSAL - In May 2001 donated several bottles of wines of Aral vineyards from 1970s, old bottles, labels, and miniature wine bottles of Talay vineyards.

 

3. Mustafa KAYNAR - On May 1, 2003 donated several photographs, original samples of Tenedos Gazette (Bozcaada Gazetesi) published between 1968 and 1972, photocopies of various certificates, documents, and brochures.

 

4. Panayot SARI (Taki) – On July 18, 2003, Panayot Sarı’s (1912-1992) spouse Mrs. Stefania and son Mr. Niko have donated hundreds of documents, photographs, items used in vineyards and wineries, wine cases, bottles, labels from TAKI's Archive and loaned several photographs for exhibition.

 

5. İspiro LEFTERİYU - İspiro Lefteriyu’s (1913-2002) daughter Mrs. Katerina ALKISTI donated family photographs and several other items and documents on July 2, 2004. Also loaned several photographs.

 

6. Halil YAKAR – aka Captain Yakar donated several photograps and a hat on August 1, 2003.

 

7. Necati TALAY - (1926-1990) his son Mr. Ahmet TALAY donated various photograps on August 3, 2003. Also loaned several photographs for exhibition.

 

8. Anesti KANAVUÇ – Marika KANAVUÇ donated several family photographs on 25 Mart 2004. Also loaned several photographs for exhibition.

 

9. Panayot OVALI - (1918–August 25, 2003) Madam Atina YARİNAKİ donated several photographs of Panayot Ovalı and his family on September 3, 2004.

 

10. F. Muhtar KATIRCIOĞLU – Donated 16 books in Turkish, and 53 books in English, French and German about 1915 Gallipoli War, photo-albums of Gallipoli War, several copies of Illustrated London News from 1915 about the war, and 54 maps of Çanakkale and surroundings (Gallipoli, Assos, Troy).

 

11. Orhan YUNATÇI - On February 25, 2005 donated sevaral family photographs, and loaned photographs for exhibition.

 

12. Tarık ATAOL – On February 26, 2005 Mr. Şen ATAOL donated several photographs about Ataol family, and loaned photographs for exhibition.

 

13. A. Hayati TALAY donated several family photographs on February 28, 2005 and loaned photographs for exhibition.
